Green Acres

When we first bought our place Rich would ride everywhere on his tractor. I started calling it "Green Acres" because we really were not farmers yet we had a big field. This week Rich went back to being on "Green Acres" as he has enjoyed mowing the grass in the field for "fire" safety and making a fun place for the kids to ride their 4-wheelers.

This is the place for me!

Nothing like a relaxing ride at the end of a hard day!

Fishing

McKynna got a fishing pole and tackle for her 5th birthday. For Family Home Evening Isaac invited us to go fishing at the fishing hole by Cannons on the Snake River. Kayson also got the cutest little pole. While Isaac spent the 1st 45 minutes setting up their poles Grandpa used Isaac's pole and sometimes would let the kids reel it in!!!

OK--I'm the Dad but I really want to fish and not put these poles together!

Can I try it Grandpa?

Please?

Kayson's backpack has his pole and fishing gear in it. It is so cute!

Maddy wants in the action!

Kid proof packaging! Time's wasting!

Okay--pink pole--pink tackle box what more could a girl want?

Maddy would grab and run. The only problem with this fishing experience was two dogs and baby Maddy who just wanted to hold everything from hooks to the camera. Well this is the last picture we got before the camera was full of dirt and would not turn on. Anyway, to sum up the fishing experience. Kynna thought that the fish would bite each and every time you cast. She got bored fast! Kayson was the fisherman. You would cast out his pole with the worm and bobber, he would count to 10--and that was cute--and then reel it in. Then he would hand you the pole and do it all over again. Each time he would say, "I'm doing a good job Dad!" It was fun! Must do it again--without dogs! And bring toys for Maddy! Thanks Isaac for a fun evening!

McKynna's 5th Birthday

McKynna's 5th birthday was yesterday so they came over for cake and ice cream. Poor Kynna had to let everyone have a turn blowing out her candles.

4th of July BYU-I 21st Ward

After a relaxing morning we headed to Idaho Falls to spend the late afternoon and evening with Rich's BYU-I 21st ward. We had the most awesome place, right behind Shilo and across from where they were lighting off the fireworks. It was the best firework show we have ever been to. They were so bright that you needed sunglasses as the brightness hurt your eyes. The sound made the ground shake. It brought tears to your eyes as you listen to the music from KLCE and thought about the sacrifices for us to enjoy our freedom. This was truly a very enjoyable 4th of July. We are proud to be Americans and live in this beautiful country.

Rich with a smile on his face as he enjoys cooking 125 hamburgers and 40 hot dogs with the help of Jan Shumway!

Well things are starting to cook!

Kynna is ready for Bailee to take her for a ride! If only Bailee could reach the peddles.

Some of the kids just waiting for their turn to eat.

As long as Cole has his binkie and toy he's happy!

Thought this was a cute picture of Isaac & Liz!

I don't think Crystal wanted her picture taken?

Wish I knew all of their names--this is a good group of kids!

Jake kept the kids entertained for a long time.
