Happy New Year 2009
Welcome 2009! 2008 for the most part was a great year. We did have some very devastating things happen to our family but we just tighten up our boot straps and trudged on. Jessica went through a divorce but she is healing and moving on. Isaac & Shawn both left the fire departments in 2008. Rich and I bought the Shelley Lube Shop and Isaac is now managing it. We have expanded our wrecker business to include the semi-s. Shawn is the manager over the wreckers. Jessica is now the office manager for her Dad and does a great job keeping the body shop going. I do the books & payroll for everything and Rich is the grand boss. So it is officially a "Family" business.
CJ was called to serve a mission in Russia. But six weeks in the MTC he had his mission changed to the Oregon Eugene Mission. He loves it but at times expresses thoughts of Russia. Our blessings have been so great with him serving. We had a rough road this fall when CJ had a very bad cyst on his tailbone. We were told it would take 4 to 6 months to heal but miracles do happen and we know now why he was changed to the Oregon Eugene Mission. He is pretty much healed and was back to work in the mission field in 2 weeks.
Daniel Robershaw, our adopted son has also brought many blessing to us as he serves in Hong Kong. We love getting his letters and pictures weekly. He has truly been a great blessing to our family & CJ.
Rich was called as 1st Counselor in the BYU-I 21st Ward in April with Brent Shumway. Never has he enjoyed a calling as much as he is enjoying this one. I love it up there also. The spirit is so strong and the kids are so much fun.
We added a new member to our family this year. Shawn and Tiffany had a boy, Kade, and he is the sweetest little guy. We were so blessed when he joined our family.
Well I have covered all of the kids except Crystal. She is even involved in the family business as a certified flagger. She keeps busy with her two kids and daycare. We talk daily though on instant messaging and she come at least once or twice a week to Shelley.
Rich and I enjoyed a memorial cruise in March with CJ and Kent and Mickie Peterson. We also met some new friends--Kent and Lori Wasden. We only hope to enjoy more trips with them and the Peterson's. We have so much in common and have lots of laughter to heal the soul.
This was the year for the Anderson Reunion in Island Park. All of my brothers & sister's were there with most of our kids. It was too short though. Seems like you just get there and then it's time to leave. I love the picture of Mom & Dad in front of their camper. Just wish we could all get together more often. I do love my family.
Well that about wraps up the highlights of 2008. We had a small celebration with Kent & Mickie, Kurt and Mary, Bailee, Jessica and Kaidance. We played Pictionary and ate snacks. I only hope the best for everyone in 2009. I pray that when we welcome 2010 that we are have become closer to our Heavenly Father and remember him more. I pray for health and strength for all, especially our parents. I pray that the economy will settle down and take much stress off family members. I pray that each and everyone of you knows how important you are to me and how much I love you. I also pray for everyone serving in the arm forces that risk their lives to keep us safe. I pray for comfort to their family that I can only imagine the fear they live with. Thank you for all you do for me and my family. Especially all of the member in Oregon that take care of CJ. Happy New Year to each and everyone one of you.
Bailee is helping me get the food ready for the party.
Kent thinks it is going to get this in 5 seconds!
